Makeshift Mythology is a show about

queer history, including the parts we’ll never know.

They've always existed. Some times and places have condemned them, but others have made room for them - and they've always made room for themselves.

And they've left behind traces: love letters, trial transcripts, myths and legends, and a whole, whole lot of romantic fiction (some things never change). Oftentimes, they've survived in fragments, just enough to give a tantalizing glimpse of a story.

Here we do our best to tell those stories - as history when it's possible, but also with the help of good guesses, imagination, and parallel stories from the present.
